On Christmas Eve, whip up some reindeer food cones for Santa's elves.

As a family, we usually spend Christmas Eve preparing presents, bidding

farewell to Elf on the Shelf, and setting out cookies and milk for Santa.

Conversely, we always seem to put off until the last minute the part of the holiday tradition of feeding Santa's reindeer.

This holiday season, we've got you covered with a DIY project that kids can undertake to help feed the reindeer.

Have the kids craft reindeer cones in the days elapsing before Santa Claus's arrival.

In their native environment, reindeer eat a diet of grasses, ferns, mosses, and the bud and leaf of willow and birch trees.

On their way to give gifts, Donner, Dasher, Dancer, and Comet can each have a snack sprinkled from one of these cones.
